Being a Cornish garden Moyclare is at its most spectacular in the Spring and early Summer so we are open to the public, without appointment, during April, May, and June at weekends and on Bank Holiday Mondays, from 2pm to 5pm.
As befits any show garden the most important plants and shrubs are labelled, and storyboards gived detailed information. We welcome fellow gardeners and their friends to the garden and we are usually very happy to chat and swap cuttings but don't help yourself - please ask first - it might be the wrong time of year, or there could be a better specimen elsewhere in the garden. (There could even be some already rooted cuttings or young plants available.)
There is a modest entrance fee: adults £3, accompanied children free, seniors £3, disabled £3, pre-arranged parties £3pp.
A guided tour of the garden is also available at other times, for clubs or groups, at mutually convenient times - but strictly by prior booking.
All areas of the garden are accessible by wheelchair. Toilet facilities are available. Refreshments can be provided. A selection of plants is for sale. Sorry - but our cat will not allow dogs.
From the centre of Liskeard take the road to Liskeard railway station (main line Paddington-Penzance, branch line to Looe). We are 500 yards/metres beyond the station on the left. Ample parking is available for cars next door at Morley Tamblyn Lodge - by their kind permission. Coaches can drop passengers off in the lay-by just past the gate. A map is available.
To contact us, please telephone Elizabeth Henslowe, 01579 343114, or write to us at Moyclare, Lodge Hill, Liskeard, PL14 4EH, Cornwall. Our e-mail address is elizabeth henslowe at btinternet dot com (To avoid automated spam collection this address has been slightly altered - please close up all the gaps and substitute the usual for the words "at" and "dot".).
We look forward to meeting you.
